A recent graduate of St. Cloud State University, Dan balances a life of painting. His full time job is a House Painter for Mondloch Painting Contractors, and in his spare time he markets and sells his artwork. He hopes to be a full time artist in the near future. As a St. Cloud native and 2001 graduate from Apollo High School, Dan has enjoyed watercolor painting since 1998. Many of Dan's original work is inspired from personal experience, favorite places and pastimes. Dan grew up in Central Minnesota playing sports, fishing, hunting and biking. His interest in watercolor grew rapidly with the help of organizations like Central Minnesota Watercolorists, Elk River Area Arts Alliance, Artists of Minnesota, and The Paramount Arts District. Dan has participated in some of the area's largest events including: The Downtown St. Cloud Art Crawls, St. Cloud Area Wheels, Wings and Water Festival's annual Lemonade Art Fair,US bank show, CMW's annual show and sale, Central Minnesota High School Art Shows, 2001 All Out Art Show, A of M annual show, Essential Art show and Art A-la-Carte. He has received personal tutoring and attended shows which have featured some of the biggest names in art including: the SCSU Art Faculty, Frank Francese, Gerry Korte, Andy Evanson, Dan Wiemer, Tony Couch, Raleigh Kinney, Ken Hosmer ,Doug Lew and proud father, Jim Mondloch.
