Which do you prefer, plein air photo or a photo of just the painting?
Sending these to LPAPA's "Best In Plein Air" show next week at the Forest and Ocean Gallery in Laguna Beach. Included are both plein air photos from when they were painted, and also the photos taken back in my studio under controlled lighting conditions. It got me wondering, do people like seeing the plein air shot or do they prefer just seeing the painting itself? I'm curious, which do you like better?
